Tokidos Closes $3.15 Million Financing Round to Accelerate Growth in Canada and Internationally

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, October 7th, 2026 – Tokidos, a Canadian company specializing in screen-free educational technology, today announced the closing of a $3.15 million financing round. With the participation of several investors, including Triptyq Capital, Investissement Québec, Kima Ventures, and several angel investors including Christiane Germain, Tokidos will accelerate its growth in Canada and internationally at a time when managing children’s screen time has become a top challenge for parents.

Tokidos is also continuing to expand its distribution network, which already includes more than 40 retail locations, with the addition of Mastermind Toys stores in Ontario.

“Whether we like it or not, technology is entering children’s lives at an increasingly early age. Our responsibility is to give them tools that help them learn, create and grow in a balanced way. Tokidos is developing proprietary technology that transforms play into meaningful learning—the exact type of company Triptyq wants to support: born from entertainment, designed to make an impact on an entire generation, and now equipped to scale globally from Montreal.”
— Charles Sylvestre, Partner at Triptyq Capital.

A Concrete Solution to the Challenges of Screen Time

In Canada, nearly 40% of children exceed recommended screen-time guidelines.¹ In response to these realities, Tokidos offers parents an alternative with its screen-free educational gaming console designed for children ages 3 to 8. It provides a genuine gaming experience while supporting the development of key skills such as mathematics, music and more. In less than 18 months, more than 12,000 families have already adopted the PlayCubes console, and more than 75,000 games have been sold.

With this new financing round, Tokidos aims to make its products accessible to more families and educational institutions while strengthening its position as a technology company. The company is also expanding its presence in the education sector, with its consoles now being deployed in numerous Quebec classrooms as well as across a network of 52 schools in Ontario.

“This $3.15 million financing round marks a strategic turning point for Tokidos and gives us the resources to accelerate our expansion across Canada, Europe and the United States, while continuing to enhance our portfolio of screen-free educational games for children. We are grateful to our investors, educational partners, distributors and the thousands of families who trust us every day.”
— Ralph Nakhle, Co-Founder and President of Tokidos.

Unmatched Technology and Competitive Advantage

Tokidos is accelerating its educational content creation through partnerships with major publishers such as Auzou, France’s second-largest children’s publisher, which will provide access to new content featuring characters and worlds already beloved by families. Staying focused on both educational value and play, Tokidos will also work with an industry leader, Scholastic, on an adaptation of the famous The Magic School Bus series by Joanna Cole, with additional partnerships to come. The company is also placing artificial intelligence at the heart of its educational technology development, helping differentiate its technology and build a competitive advantage that has generated strong interest from the industry at major international events such as VivaTech in Paris and in the CES in Las Vegas.

A Constantly Evolving Content Offering

Alongside this financing round, Tokidos continues to expand its educational content catalogue. Already featuring around 40 titles in both English and French spanning educational games, social games, interactive stories and mini-games, the catalogue is expected to surpass 60 titles by the end of 2026. The company is also launching Dailies, a new daily audio content format designed to nurture children’s curiosity over time through scientific and interactive stories that help them understand the world, one day at a time. These initiatives reflect Tokidos’ ambition to build an evolving, recurring content offering that complements its PlayCubes console.
