PlayCubes Wi-Fi issue - How to Connect

PlayCubes Wi-Fi issue

When you see a symbol that looks like Wi-Fi arcs (and/or the cube says “Waiting for app to connect”), your PlayCube is ready to connect — but it can’t find a saved network in range.

What you see:

  • A Wi-Fi arcs symbol (Wi-Fi-looking animation)
  • Sometimes the message: “Waiting for app to connect”
  • MouthCube may also say: “Wi-Fi is not connected.”

Meaning:

Your PlayCubes are ready to connect, but they don’t have an active Wi-Fi network available right now.

This can happen if:

  • Router is off
  • Wi-Fi password was changed
  • You moved to a new network
  • Cubes are too far from the router

Before you start

  • Move cubes closer to the router
  • Make sure your phone is on the correct Wi-Fi
  • Turn Bluetooth ON on your phone
  • Confirm MouthCube shows Wi-Fi animation

The app can only detect cubes in this state.

Step-by-step: Re-send Wi-Fi credentials

1) Download the Tokidos Parental App

  • Search “Tokidos” on the App Store or Google Play.
  • Install and open the app.

2) Create / log into your account via:

  • Email + password, or
  • Quick connect (Gmail / Facebook)

3) Start the connection flow

  • In the app, tap “Connect PlayCubes”
  • Review the checklist and confirm your cubes are ready.

4) Confirm your PlayCubes are in the right mode

  • Turn on each cube by pressing the back button (opposite the face) for 5 seconds.
  • Make sure your MouthCube shows the Wi-Fi animation and says “Wi-Fi is not connected.”

5) Connect to Wi-Fi in the app

  • Tap “Connect PlayCubes”
  • If the cubes are detected, you’ll see “PlayCubes detected” → tap Next
  • Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password

Important

  • Wi-Fi connection may take 30–60 seconds
  • Once complete, tap “Ready to Play!”
  • The MouthCube should say “Wi-Fi is connected!” and show a colorful animation

Troubleshooting quick fixes

Still seeing Wi-Fi arcs / “Waiting for app to connect”?

  • Get closer to the router and try again.
  • Double-check you selected the right network and typed the correct password.
  • Restart your router (unplug for ~20 seconds, plug back in), then retry.

App can’t detect the cubes

  • Make sure the MouthCube is in “Looking for Wi-Fi” / “Wi-Fi is not connected” status.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.

“Wi-Fi is not connected” keeps coming back

  • Check charging: use a 2A+ adapter and avoid Fast Charger adapters.
  • Charge for a bit, then try the Wi-Fi connection steps again.
